BRRRRRRRR…. It’s COLD. The office boiler broke so I am blogging in my mittens (Christmas pressie, yummy cashmere from Loft - tres chic).
Well didn’t you always know it? This seasons must have (Prada, Fendi, Anastase ) is the see-through handbag. So if you haven’t already got one, and can’t afford the squillions for a Prada, get a Clippy bag.
I am doing the not drinking for January bit. This means I have to keep active to avoid slumping in front of the telly with a huge tumbler of wine. Sooo have seen beautiful arty film (The White Ribbon) at the Riverside Theatre, comedy acts at the 100 Club and learnt the Charleston with Swing Patrol, and of course, watched Avatar with the funny glasses. Longing for inactive February.
Sale time is still upon us, and Clippy can’t be seen to be mean. So as well as the sale bargains on our website, we are also GIVING AWAY (major buzz words) a PINK SPOTTY LINING with every medium or large bag you order. They are very pretty and will get you in the mood for SPRING.

Prettiest and most brilliant new beauty product for the month are the temporary tattoos designed for Chanel. £49 for 55 designs. Apparently they are due in for March at Selfridges and a waiting list has already started. I simply can’t wait to start sticking.
keep warm,
x Clippy

Have a really wonderful Christmas and New Year - I hope everyone loves their Clippy presents and please email pics of your new bags for our gallery.
If you didn’t have a chance to get a Clippy bag yet you still might be able to pick up a limited edition Clippy bag at selected Tesco’s. There aren’t very many so you will have to be quick. Below is a map of all their locations, just pop into the photo lab.

The BEST time of the year, as it is also my birthday, so it is party, party all the way with a pressie here and a pressie there. I like EVERYTHING about Christmas, the food (obviously) the decorations (although I am Little Miss Picky when it comes to the fairy lights - this year we’re all twinkly white with clear glass and red gingham ribbon). The office party (mostly me and mum with a few like mindeds thrown in), last year we went to the dogs (the type with four legs) which we liked A LOT. This year has still to be sorted, I’m thinking Underground Rebel Bingo (but shhhhh don’t tell anyone).
NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS - PRESENTS FOR BOYS
For the smaller kind (10-12 years)
We are always asked if we do stuff for boys. Sadly not, we are just a bit too pink, but we have found a company that does.
Flibberty is run by two extremely lovely ladies called Jo and Kay (I know ‘cos I met them at Country Living Fair) and they specialize in outdoor stuff. Make your own den, hide in the bushes and set fire to the house kind of stuff. It is brilliant. Check it out.
For the larger, extremely tricky kind - basically all of them that don’t want a computer game.
Every year The Sailor gives me sleepless nights over what to give him for Christmas. Main aim is for it to be useful and not take up space in the house (although really all he wants is a drum kit - tough luck). As you all know I am partial to a bag or two and here is the perfect boys version. Custom made just for you, Freeload Accessories have beautiful weekend bags or mens washbags - the extremely talented, Debbie MacPherson, sends you leather colour swatches and design ideas so you can create a product personal to your fussy loved one.

To get you in the festive swing we are offering a FREE Winter Wonderland sticky Pop up card with all orders over £20

I’ve gone all Japanese this month - just back from the most AMAZING week, so ‘konnichiwa’ to everyone and ‘arigato’ to all in Tokyo for being so kind and thinking that Clippy was very ‘kawaii’ - oh but NOT thank you to the horrid lady at the Virgin check-in who charged me squillions of Yen for being a minute 6 kg overweight (that’s the suitcase not me).
Neighbours beware…
Japan is my new spiritual home as my fave night out is Karaoke - I think I brought down
the house (litterally) with ‘Fairy Tale of New York’ at last years Christmas party. Anyway enough of ME. Lucky Voice have the best Karaoke bars ever - tambourines, party hats and a fancy button that you press wtih ‘thirsty’ written on it. I hope my stocking includes a Lucky Voice Party Box - it transforms your computer into the ultimate karaoke machine. Available in lovely, lovely Selfridges (pick up a Clippy bag while you’re there).
Lucky Voice have offered all Clippy readers FREE subscription to their Lucky Voice Home. Just register your home computer (or even better your work) and go to ‘unlock all songs’ and type CLIPPYSING. You will have access for one week to all their songs. Offer available until end Nov.
NOW we are back and I have just started the Country Living Christmas Show at the Business Design Centre Islington, so please come and visit if you are passing. THEN its off to Glasgow for the Country Living Show at the SECC 19th-22nd November.
There is no escape as Clippy marches North.

NEW BAGS have arrived……with NEW handles, which is most exciting. The jumbo washbags will be edged with gold and silver to add sparkle to the bathroom, and we thought our clip-files should give a bit of a lift to a dull desk so they are glittering too (coming soon).
Best new fun is the Bad Film Club. We went last night. Here’s the thing, it’s fine to shout, chuck the odd spoon and generally participate in the action. You turn up, watch the worse film you’ve ever seen with guest comediennes’ giving the commentary and then discard any cinema etiquette you might possess and revel in bad behavior. The next film up is ‘Mega Shark versus the Giant Octopus’, ooooooo can’t wait. They happen all over the UK too and you can request a bad film night in your area www.badfilmclub.com
If you love chocolate and shoes you can now have your Manolo and eat it. Choc Chic
make the prettiest stilettos and handbags out of chocolate 17 cms long (I can’t quite cram them on my big feet), in fabulous patterns - leopard print, polka dots and glossy red, much more fun to pass round the dinner table than an After Eight (although I have time for those too)……
Keep looking out for our free download cards. We might be doing a few SPOOOOOOOOOKY ones soon…..so you could make your own trick or treat bag (though Clippy bags are defo more of a treat). If you would like to design a set of cards for the Clippy downloads please email your pocket sized (9cm x 11cm) high resolution design to me. If we use them we’ll send you a Clippy bag and credit your designs on our site.
Loving the weather, and just about to move house, yea! Very excited. Lots of Clippy stuff happening - I am off to Japan with the bags, and the bags have been off without me to the Virgin megastores in Dubai so the Clippy word is spread, spread, spreading

Our 15 minutes of FAME! The Clippy bag is now a heavy feature on Hollyoaks.
All is joy. Well nearly. Theresa has been spotted scooping salon products into her Clippy bag, and then, toes lively, out the door without paying. VERY BAD. Of course, we all know in real life this would be a very daft thing to do (especially without a spotty lining) as the bag is see-through and so would make an absolutely hopeless swag-bag. On the plus side she has filled the pockets with fabrics, a ‘Girl about Town’ kit and some photos. Hopefully she will put her bag to better use in future episodes.
Quite excited that the sun has come out at last. Although I am very fearful of wasps (run around a lot, screaming etc me, not the wasps), I do love an al fresco. Le Pain Quotidien make the most delicious ‘Pique-nique’ boxes. Order in advance and collect from any of their shops. The delicious organic goodies come in three sizes The Breakfast £15 The Hyde Park £25 or The Regents Park £35 food enough for 2 greedies.
Ted the dog is not very picky about his food. In fact he will eat anything that stays still long enough. I am trying to educate his taste buds, so I was delighted to discover Lily’s Kitchen who make a totally organic and (wait for it) Holistic dog food. Choose between a slow cooked lamb hotpot or the beef and spelt supper. Mmmmmmmmmmm. In fact they have 13 delicious recipes to tempt Ted’s taste buds. All the recipes include herbs (rosehips sound particularly good) to boost the immune system, oh, and the packaging is lovely too (re-cycle or compostable).
Don’t tell Ted, but they make cat food too.
Clare is now on Twitter and is tweeting great and good things you can follow her on www.twitter.com/clippy_clare or me on twitter.com/clippy
